Voluntary Action Center

The Voluntary Action Center (VAC) in Columbia, Missouri, is a local nonprofit founded to address the immediate basic needs of individuals and families within Boone County. Our purpose is to call on our community to rise and serve one another – moving humanity forward through the power of action. We provide options, support, and resources to those needing assistance.

Donating to VAC means providing emergency shelter without barriers, along with case management and pathways to permanent housing, food assistance, prescriptions, identification documents, employment supplies, baby formula, diapers, and other essential needs that keep families stable.

Real change happens when we rise together.
