Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition

The Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition (dba Stream Teams United) is a statewide coalition of Missouri Stream Team Associations, who work within their watersheds to conserve and improve the water quality of Missouri’s rivers, lakes, and streams. Missouri Stream Teams are passionate groups of community members who promote water resource conservation and best management practices, educate youth and adults about watersheds, water quality, and aquatic life, and engage in valuable river stewardship activities such as litter pick-ups, storm drain stenciling, water quality monitoring, invasive plant species removal, and planting of native plant species, including riparian tree plantings.

Our organization was formed in 1999.  We work across the state of Missouri, but much of our work focuses on advocating for clean water in Jefferson City.  In 2026, we are embarking on our next stage of growth for the organization, working to establish a permanent headquarters for our organization in our state's capital city: Jefferson City!   With a facility in our state's capital city, we will be able to have a local presence for our advocacy work in Jefferson City, have a central location for storing our river stewardship and education supplies, and will provide a place where Missouri Stream Teams and Stream Teams United staff can come together to work on our collaborative planning and projects.

With the 2026 CentralMOGives campaign, all funds raised will be used towards the purchase of a future headquarters facility for the organization in the Jefferson City area.  As a 27 year old organization, it is time that we have a permanent home at our state's capital city. Thank you for your support of stewardship of Missouri's rivers and streams through support of the Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition!
