Maplewood Barn Community Theatre

Mid-Missouri's Only Theatre Under the Stars

The mission of the Maplewood Barn Association is to provide high quality, live community theatre to mid-Missouri audiences in an informal, family friendly, outdoor setting in historic Nifong Park. The purpose and mission have remained unchanged since the theatre’s founding as a City-sponsored initiative in 1973.

The Board, Staff, and Volunteers of the Maplewood Barn Community Theatre believe in the transformative power of the arts to enrich lives and revitalize communities. We believe, that great theatre should be a positive, transformative, and inclusive cultural experience for society as a whole. We also recognize the true value and the critical role that diversity serves in helping our theatre and community thrive.

The Impact of Your Donation

Your generous donation allows us to continue to pursue our mission as an organization: to produce high-quality, family friendly theatrical experiences for generations to come. The support provided to us by the local community allows us to cover the costs of costuming, set construction materials, props, and set design. In addition, your donation allows us to continue to give back to the community in a number of ways, including hosting Popcorn for a Purpose evenings for each production of the year, providing education experiences through our Byron Scott Internship Program during the summers, and helping us to continue our tradition of supporting the future through our Willy Wilson Scholarship Fund.
