For over 50 years CMS has been utilizing the teachings and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori to provide an enriching learning environment where natural curiosities are stimulated and the whole child is nurtured. We encourage children to respect themselves, each other and the environment while also focusing on building self-confidence and practical life skills. In addition to classroom work, hands-on experiences such as composting and planting a garden make a lasting impression and help children connect with the environment.

Our goal is that the children we serve will grow up to become adults who are self-aware, compassionate, environmentally conscious, engaged members of their communities with a life-long love of learning. It is by establishing strong roots in these early years that we help each child reach their full potential.

In order to accomplish this goal, CMS views education as a partnership between educators, parents, and the community. We value diversity and strive to utilize the strengths of our families and employees to create a well-rounded educational experience for our young learners.
